Supplies to order...
|
So now you know about bases, color, style and density. Your ready to order the unit but you know you need other stuff to go along with it.. what should you get?
We know this entire process can seem daunting and expensive when you first start out. But as you undoubtedly noticed, our prices are significantly less than the "clubs" and "salons" selling exactly the same thing. A lot of these "clubs" get you on cut ins and reattachments. Were here to make it easier for you to know the entire process up front.
You are taping or gluing this thing to your head! It's not rocket science.
But there are dozens of choices in glues, tapes and adhesive options. So what to do? You need to know that everyone's skin is different and different tapes and glues will react differently on your skin. We recommend a skin patch test for 24 hours and an open mind. It may take a bit of time to get the right tape/glue for your skin chemistry. The forum is a great resource for learning. You can contact Debbie at Split Ends and she will get you off in the right direction.
Here is a list of required items to get started: 1. Tape 2. Special Skin Bonding Glue 3. Lace Release 4. Adhesive Remover 5. Scalp Cleaner
Optional items to have: 1. Styrofoam head to hold the base. 2. Spray Nail Dryer 3. Knot sealer 4. Special Hair Conditioner 5. Magnifying mirror. 6. Blending comb. 7. Thinning Shears 8. Cotton Balls, Q Tips or Coffee stirring sticks
This is not an exhaustive list but it is one to start with. You can get all essentials from Split Ends and the rest from beauty retailers and hardware stores. Amazon.com is a good source as well.
You can get help at any time by emailing BA or visiting the forum.
